Predator Helios 18 AI gaming laptop now in Malaysia priced from RM17,999

Acer has expanded their Predator line-up of gaming laptops in Malaysia with the introduction of their latest offering – the Predator Helios 18 AI. First glimpsed at Computex 2026 at their show booth, the laptop packs impressive desktop-grade hardware in a compact laptop form factor.

Predator Helios 18 AI specs

In terms of hardware, the Predator Helios 18 AI features an 18-inch WQUXGA 4K Mini LED display that has 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, 1,000 nits HDR peak brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate. Spaced around the chassis is a six-speaker system for richer directional audio and more immersive sound.

Running under the hood is an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processor, up to 256GB DDR5 RAM, up to a 5TB SSD and up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX5090 graphics card. The keyboard also features per-key RGB lighting and fast WiFi 7.

In Malaysia, the Predator Helios 18 AI comes in two configurations, all of which have the same display and Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX processor but differ in what GPU and RAM they have. The higher end variant with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 with 48GB RAM is priced at RM19,999 while a variant with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 with 36GB RAM is priced at RM17,999. Early birds who buy it before 12 July 2026 also get a free PM161Q portable monitor worth RM349.

On that note, Acer also introduced a new portable monitor dubbed the PM191Q E that is Malaysia’s first 18.5-inch FHD IPS portable display. The monitor weighs 1.13kg, has a 100Hz refresh rate and has a tiltable stand and VESA Mount support as well as an RM469 price tag. To complement the monitor, it also comes with an optional AH101 portable monitor stand with tilt, swivel and height adjustment as well as a price tag of RM99. Early birds who buy both before 12 July 2025 can get the monitor for just Rm369 and the stand for RM59.
