HKEX to allow Bursa Malaysia firms to make secondary listings

The Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) has added Bursa Malaysia as a Recognised Stock Exchange (RSE).

The aim is to allow those firms with a primary listing on Bursa Malaysia’s main market to apply for a secondary listing on HKEX. The recognition increases the number of RSEs for HKEX in Southeast Asia (SEA) to four, with the others being the Indonesia Stock Exchange, the Singapore Exchange, and the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET).
