Nintendo is teaming up with Japanese convenience store chain FamilyMart to hold a nationwide Yoshi and the Mysterious Book campaign starting next week.

Held in FamilyMart stores across Japan, the campaign (via GoNintendo) will include Yoshi merchandise that can be obtained with the purchase of qualifying products or by winning a lottery. It will be held from May 19th at 10 a.m. to June 1st.

During this period, customers who buy two eligible products will receive one of a series of four small plates, featuring yellow, pink, green, and blue Yoshis.

Purchasing eligible products and presenting the FamiPay app (FamilyMart’s payment service) will earn customers in-app stamps (one per item). Every five stamps earns users an entry in a lottery, with participants having a chance to win one of 20 sets of eight Yoshi plushes, or one of 20 sets of Kumukumu 3D Yoshi puzzles. The campaign will be held from May 19th to June 1st.

Another lottery offers participants the chance to win one of eight different Yoshi-themed prizes, including plushes, cutlery, keychains, and more. Starting from May 23rd, each draw will cost ¥750 (around $4.73).

Prize A: Yoshi with apple plush (one available)

Prize B: Plush keychains (three available)

Prize C: Mug (one available)

Prize D: Plate collection (four available)

Prize E: Rubber coasters and clips (six available)

Prize F: Zipper bags and memo collection (six available)

Prize G: Fabric collection (towels and pouches) (six available)

Final Prize: Sleeping Yoshi plush toy (one available)

During the campaign period, those who purchase a digital version of Yoshi and the Mysterious Book can enter a lottery on this webpage for a chance to win one of 150 pink variants of the Sleeping Yoshi plush. This will run from April 28th to June 1st.

Finally, Nintendo Store app users can obtain an exclusive mobile wallpaper via GPS by visiting a FamilyMart store during the event period (May 19th to June 1st).

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book release date

Yoshi and the Mysterious Book will launch worldwide on May 21st, 2026, only on Nintendo Switch 2. It’s available to pre-order now from the official Nintendo store.
