Jakarta. Indonesia head coach John Herdman has named a 26-man squad for the 2026 ASEAN Hyundai Cup, formerly known as the AFF Championship, as the Garuda seek to win the regional title for the first time.
The squad blends experienced internationals with emerging young talent, with familiar names including captain Marc Klok, defender Jordi Amat, midfielder Thom Haye, goalkeeper Nadeo Argawinata, and rising stars Marselino Ferdinan and Beckham Putra.
New signings to Indonesia’s top-flight Super League also feature in the squad, including defender Sandy Walsh, who recently joined Persib Bandung, forward Ragnar Oratmangoen, also with Persib, and defender Tim Geypens of Bali United.
Of the 26 players selected, 24 play domestically in Indonesia’s Super League, while only two are currently based overseas: defender Justin Hubner, who plays for Dutch club Fortuna Sittard, and newly naturalized forward Mitchell Baker of U.S. club Vermont Green FC.

The 2026 ASEAN Championship officially kicks off on Friday and runs through Aug. 26.
Indonesia has been drawn in Group A alongside regional rivals Vietnam, Singapore, Cambodia and Timor-Leste.
The Garuda open their campaign against Cambodia at Pakansari Stadium in Bogor on Monday before facing Timor-Leste in Chonburi, Thailand, on July 31. They will then host Vietnam on Aug. 3 before concluding the group stage away to Singapore at Jalan Besar Stadium on Aug. 7.
Indonesia is chasing its first ASEAN Championship title after finishing runner-up a record six times. The national team has reached the final on six occasions but has never lifted the trophy.
