Jakarta, IO – Indonesia’s fashion and beauty-aesthetics industries continue to grow across the country, fueled by rich cultural heritage, creativity, and strong economic potential. Recognizing this momentum, Indonesia Fashion & Aesthetics (IFA) is expanding its collaborative network through IFA Archipelago, a signature event that brings the fashion and beauty-aesthetics ecosystem to cities and provinces across Indonesia.
IFA brings business owners and professionals from the fashion and beauty-aesthetics sectors together in one collaborative ecosystem. First launched in Jakarta in 2024, IFA has consistently presented fashion shows, exhibitions, and awards that emphasize quality and exclusivity.
Through its regional roadshow series, IFA Archipelago provides a platform to showcase the potential of modest fashion and beauty-aesthetics from different regions to a wider audience ahead of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr.
“Since its first edition, IFA has received a positive response from various regions because every city and province has its own cultural strengths, creativity, and economic potential that deserve a national platform,” said IFA Founder and CEO Dian Komalasary. “We are excited to continue showcasing the best work of Indonesian talent while supporting the sustainable growth of the country’s creative industries.”
Banjarbaru hosts the first IFA Archipelago
IFA Archipelago South Kalimantan was held on Aug. 11, 2026, at the Ballroom of Grand Maya by Artotel in Banjarbaru.
Banjarbaru was chosen as the first host city as part of IFA’s commitment to supporting the growth of regional creative industries and showcasing South Kalimantan’s cultural heritage, particularly Sasirangan, the region’s distinctive traditional textile.
Beyond fashion, IFA Archipelago is also helping grow South Kalimantan’s beauty and aesthetics sector, which continues to gain momentum alongside rising interest in beauty, wellness, and lifestyle.
The event brought together designers, aesthetics professionals, beauty clinics, skincare brands, wellness businesses, and creative professionals, creating opportunities to collaborate, innovate, grow, and explore new possibilities.
South Kalimantan’s textile heritage
The IFA Archipelago South Kalimantan fashion show featured modest fashion collections from leading designers and brands. VIVIZUBEDI, Si.Se.Sa, and Ayu Dyah Andari opened the event, followed by collections from Lia Soraya, Donna Prive, Arabellescarf, Dekranasda South Kalimantan, Khanaan, Motif Hawa, and Buttonscarves.
Support from South Kalimantan Governor’s wife, Hj. Fathul Jannah Muhidin, further strengthened the event, encouraging collaboration between the local government, industry players, and other stakeholders to unlock the province’s creative potential.
Empowering the creative industry
IFA Archipelago South Kalimantan also provided opportunities for education and capacity building. One highlight was a “Personal Branding” workshop led by Okky Asokawati on Aug. 10, which brought together around 100 women eager to grow and pursue their creative ambitions.
The educational program reflects IFA’s commitment to building an ecosystem that not only showcases creative work but also develops the people behind the industry.
