Ocean Park’s Reptile Territory exhibit is set to open on Friday, bringing together a diverse collection of reptiles from around the world.

The exhibit will feature several rare and iconic species, including the Chinese crocodile lizard, classified under Category 1 of the Chinese Wildlife Conservation Law, and the endangered rhinoceros iguana.

According to the organizer, the launch comes at a time when interest in exotic reptile keeping is on the rise, and public fascination with these creatures is growing, fueled by their appearances in pop culture and animation.

Franklin Law, marketing director of Ocean Park Hong Kong, said that the exhibition offers visitors a playful, immersive way to get up close, dispel common myths, and celebrate their vital role in the ecosystem.

The event also features interactive educational facilities, including an AI-powered biodiversity image recognition app, designed to help visitors explore fascinating facts and uncover the hidden secrets of reptiles.

China Daily’s Adam Lam took the photos on Wednesday.
