Hong Kong Air Cargo has appointed Aeroprime Group as its Cargo General Sales and Services Agent (GSSA) in Delhi, as the airline looks to expand its presence in India’s fast-growing air freight market and strengthen trade links with Asia and international destinations.

Under the new agreement, Aeroprime Group will oversee cargo sales, marketing, customer engagement and business development activities for Hong Kong Air Cargo’s operations in the Indian capital.

The partnership is designed to support rising demand for air cargo services between India and East Asia, while giving customers greater access to Hong Kong Air Cargo’s network and freight capacity.

India remains a strategic growth market

Hong Kong Air Cargo said India continues to be an important market for its long-term expansion plans, with Delhi serving as a major gateway for high-value and time-sensitive shipments.

The airline aims to strengthen connectivity between India, Hong Kong and key international markets, helping exporters and freight forwarders move goods more efficiently across global supply chains.

As one of the world’s leading aviation and logistics centres, Hong Kong plays a vital role in facilitating international trade, particularly between Asia, Europe and North America.

The appointment of Aeroprime is expected to enhance cargo options for Indian businesses seeking reliable access to global markets through one of the world’s busiest air cargo hubs.

Focus on customer growth and connectivity

Raymond Chen, Vice President of Commercial at Hong Kong Air Cargo, said the partnership would help the airline expand its footprint in the region and improve services for customers.

“India remains a strategically important market for Hong Kong Air Cargo. Delhi, in particular, serves as a major gateway for high-value and time-sensitive shipments,” he said.

“We are pleased to partner with Aeroprime, whose deep market understanding, strong industry relationships and proven cargo expertise will help us strengthen our presence and better serve customers in the region.”

Aeroprime targets further expansion

Aeroprime Group said the agreement reflects its continued commitment to supporting the logistics sector with tailored cargo solutions.

Abhishek Goyal, Executive Director and Chief Executive of Aeroprime Group, said Hong Kong remains one of the most significant air cargo centres in the world.

“We are delighted to represent Hong Kong Air Cargo in Delhi. Hong Kong offers seamless access to major manufacturing, trading and consumption markets,” he said.

“This partnership reflects our continued commitment to delivering value-driven cargo solutions to the logistics community while supporting Hong Kong Air Cargo’s growth ambitions in India.”

Growing importance of India-Hong Kong trade links

The agreement comes as air cargo demand between India and Asia continues to increase, driven by expanding manufacturing activity, e-commerce growth and rising demand for time-sensitive shipments.

By strengthening its commercial presence in Delhi, Hong Kong Air Cargo is seeking to position itself to capture a greater share of trade flows between India and key global markets, while enhancing supply chain resilience for customers operating across multiple continents.
