The military, security and intelligence cooperation between the Israeli regime and the UAE has reached new heights during the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran. The unprecedented deployment of the Iron Dome system during the war was not previously made public.
Since the beginning of the US-Israeli military aggression against Iran, the American bases and facilities in the UAE were targeted by Iranian missiles and drones.
The massive retaliatory attacks on the US targets by Iran prompted the UAE to seek assistance from allies.
Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the military to send an Iron Dome battery with interceptors and several dozen Israeli operators after a call with the Emirati president Mohammed bin Zayed, Israeli officials said.
That was the first time the Zionist regime had sent an Iron Dome battery to another country, and the UAE was the first country outside of the US and the occupied territories in which the system was used, a senior Israeli official said.
The system intercepted dozens of Iranian missiles, a second Israeli official claimed.
According to Axios, the Israeli regime and the UAE signed a normalization treaty in 2020. While there have been differences over issues including Gaza since then, both Israeli and Emirati officials say the partnership is currently the closest it’s ever been.
