Sun Dong departs for Australia and New Zealand to boost bilateral I&T ties

The Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Sun Dong, departed for a visit to Australia and New Zealand on Sunday to strengthen ties in innovation and technology (I&T) between Hong Kong and the two countries.

Sun will attend the China Business Summit in Auckland, New Zealand, and deliver a keynote speech.

During his visit to the two countries, Sun will tour local universities, research institutes and I&T facilities. 

He will also meet with local government officials in charge of relevant policies as well as representatives of I&T organisations and technology enterprises.

Sun will return to Hong Kong on the evening of June 27. During his absence, the Under Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry, Lillian Cheong Man-lei, will be the Acting Secretary for Innovation, Technology and Industry.
