Katie Price ‘goes to court’ in Dubai in bid to free Lee Andrews from prison

Katie Price has travelled to Dubai in a bid to release her partner Lee Andrews from prison, sharing updates with fans as she prepares to visit court over the various legal matters engulfing him

Katie Price has broken her silence from Dubai, explaining she is now going to court to try and get Lee Andrews released. It comes after the star was seen leaving the UK for Dubai when Lee was due to be let out.

Showbiz icon Katie, 48, has been among Lee’s strongest backers, pushing the claims the 43-year-old had been “kidnapped” in Dubai last month. However, it later emerged he wasn’t being held hostage, but rather being held in the city’s Al Awir prison.

But while the Pricey has sparked concern after posting a strange message about grief and heartbreak, she has now flown to the Middle East to be reunited with her beloved partner. This comes as sources say she is eyeing up a divorce from her husband.

The Pricey has now posted an update from Dubai for her followers, explaining that she needed to dress modestly to visit prisons and courts. She admitted that the temperatures were getting to her, but it needed to be done.

“Today, even though it’s about 40 degrees outside. The places I’ve got to go today, you have to cover up hence the leggings, hence the jacket,” she revealed in the video posted on Facebook.

“I mean, I can’t hide these, but I’m covered,” as she pointed to her boobs. “It’s skin-tight but I’m covered. I’ve got to go to courts, prison and a police station.

“Not a visiting prison, but ‘the’ prison. And who knows today’s going to bring, I’ve had four hours sleep, not even that.”

She revealed she has hardly rested: “I’ve probably had an hour-and-a-half sleep and I still look like this. I’ve had to put a device in my new phone, my UK one is rubbish. Let’s go, today is an important day for me.”

Taking to the caption of the post she shared with her followers, she thanked her fans for their backing: “Today is an Important Day for me! Thank you for all your support!”

Lee was due to be released from prison on Monday (June 1), but seemingly did not make it out of the prison. He was then due to be released on Tuesday (June 2), but it remains unclear whether he has indeed been set free.

The self-proclaimed multi-millionaire will need to settle a four-figure fine before being let go, though no details have been disclosed as to whether this has been paid yet. Meanwhile, Lee’s account has become active once again, refollowing Katie after it unfollowed her.

The scandal between the pair erupted when both the Pricey and Lee were scheduled to feature on Good Morning Britain for their first joint interview last month. However, after Lee was not allowed to board the plane, Katie heard nothing from her partner for two weeks.

She later alleged that Lee had been “kidnapped”, only for him to resurface after two weeks of silence in Dubai’s Al Awir prison. Initially, there were assertions he was detained on espionage charges, but authorities later confirmed it was due to a private, civil matter.
