Fire breaks out in building on Dubai’s Sheikh Zayed Road, no injuries reported

Dubai Civil Defence teams successfully contained a fire that broke out on a building on Sheikh Zayed Road in the early hours after midnight on Thursday morning. No injuries have been reported.

The blaze erupted on a floor undergoing maintenance. The authority said they completed cooling operations in accordance with procedures.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing clouds of smoke billowing out of the tower.

Authorities were at the site in minutes with multiple police cars present.

Traffic and pedestrians were also prevented from accessing the area around the building as part of multiple safety measures being undertaken by the authorities.
