Dubai quant firm uses NDAs to stop staff naming their employer

Eqvilent is luring new joiners with the promise of remote working and 40 days’ paid annual leave. The catch: no naming the firm on social media

Stanislav Semenov says on LinkedIn that he was inspired to launch a quantitative finance startup after becoming the “#1 data scientist in the world” based on rankings by Kaggle, the Google-owned coding competition platform.

But many of his employees have a harder time broadcasting their career journeys to the world, with Semenov’s fledgling firm going to significant lengths to uphold its secrecy.
