Desiree Golling, 34, died unexpectedly in Dubai where she had been living and working
Friends and family left devastated by the sudden death of a woman described as having a “beautiful smile a contagious laugh” have paid heartfelt tributes in her memory.
Desiree Golling, 34, believed to have originally hailed from Merseyside, died unexpectedly while residing in the United Arab Emirates, having embarked on a new chapter of her life in the Middle East. Her friends and family back in the UK were left utterly heartbroken upon receiving the distressing news this week.
Touching tributes to Desiree flooded social media platforms following the shocking loss. The young woman is understood to have been employed as a business consultant at Property Finder in Dubai. The cause of death has yet to be made public. Desiree’s mother is reported to be travelling to Dubai today. The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office has been approached for comment.
Her friend Paula Golling wrote on Facebook: “Doing life without you babe doesn’t seem real I am going to miss our voice notes where you say ‘hi mum, just checking in’. You was the most inspirational person, everyone loved you babe, how my heart aches right now. I will see your beautiful face soon, goodnight my sweet Desi.”
Among those to pay tribute was her cousin and G’Wed star Amber Harrison, who wrote on Instagram: “Our beautiful big cousin Desiree. Loved by so many, you will be missed. Our family will never be the same without you. Our queen of Dubai. I hope you are in a much better place you beautiful soul.” Family members have also expressed their heartbreak, the LiverpoolEcho reports.
Cousin Autumn Harrison posted: “Our gorgeous Desiree.. my big cousin and best friend. Your beautiful soul shined right through you, absolutely stunning from the inside out. Yours was the warmest heart and the kind of energy that made anyone around you drawn to you”.
“You didn’t just care about people, you made people feel truly loved and I felt your love so deeply. Always the first to comment on posts, always reminding us how gorgeous we were, always telling me that life is too short to care too much and to just do what makes you happy. I promise I’ll carry that with me forever, for you.
“You were the one that made every family occasion, every party, every deep conversation. You’re the only person I’d listen to a three minute voice note from.
“We haven’t stopped talking about you in the group chat, waiting for you to voice note back like you always do and make us howl one way or another.
“There will never be another you Des. Oh our beautiful Des, I can’t believe I am writing this. Family is everything, and you lived by this..You made every second with all of us count and gave us memories to cherish for life for this I couldn’t be more grateful.
“You adored us all and that’s something I will always feel when I think of you. We will all miss you so so much and no words are big enough to explain the gap that you have left in our family and in each of our hearts. I promise to be there for your mum Jas and Luna. I love you forever and always angel girl. One in a million.”
