HONG KONG – The 2026 PPA Asia 1500 Hong Kong Slam will take place from Oct 19 to 25 at Kai Tak Arena, with organizers describing it Tuesday as the highest-level professional pickleball tournament in the region.

The season-ending Hong Kong Slam will be the largest 1,500-level professional pickleball event staged in Asia. More than 860 professional and amateur players are expected to compete, with 1,500 ranking points available.

Supported by the Hong Kong, China Tennis Association, the event will feature 24 international-standard indoor pickleball courts at Kai Tak Sports Park.

Hong Kong’s top-ranked player, Wong Hong-kit, will compete on home soil as he seeks to defend his title.

“Winning the gold medal last year with the support of the home crowd was an unforgettable experience. This year, I will be giving my all to defend the title and intend to deliver the most thrilling performance for the fans in Hong Kong,” Wong told a news conference.

The PPA Tour Asia has staged nine events across the region in 2026 and operates a three-tier tournament structure consisting of Slams, Cups and Opens. Points earned throughout the tour count toward the global PPA rankings as players compete for the world No 1 position.
