China Southern Airlines will launch a Guangzhou–Changsha–Addis Ababa route on October 12.
The airline will operate two round trips per week, on Mondays and Fridays, using Boeing 787-9 aircraft. Flight time will be 15 hours 40 minutes from Guangzhou and 14 hours 45 minutes from Addis Ababa.
Same-day connections to and from flights serving Japan are not available. For both outbound and return journeys, passengers can use the complimentary transit hotel accommodation service in Guangzhou.
Between Guangzhou and Addis Ababa, Ethiopian Airlines operates nonstop flights.
