Julie Mould, who works at Western Community Hospital in Southampton, has marked 40 years of service in the NHS, having spent her entire career supporting patients and colleagues.
She began her NHS journey at 18, inspired by her mother and grandmother to pursue a career in care.
Ms Mould said: “I’ve always loved caring for people. It’s such a rewarding job.

“You see people at their most vulnerable, but you also get to see them recover, regain their independence and get back on their feet.
“Knowing you’ve played a small part in that is incredibly special.”
Over the years, she has cared for thousands of patients and worked alongside generations of colleagues, forming strong friendships along the way.
She said: “We’ve been through everything together – marriages, babies, celebrations and challenges.
“The people I work with are amazing, and the friendships I’ve made over the years mean so much to me.”
Ms Mould credits the dedication of NHS staff as being at the heart of the service.
She said: “It’s the people who make the NHS what it is.
“There’s so much commitment and care from everyone, and I feel very lucky to have worked alongside such wonderful colleagues.”
Darrell Baker, Ms Mould’s line manager who has worked with her for more than 13 years, praised her enduring enthusiasm and positive influence.
Mr Baker said: “I’ve worked with Julie for over 13 years and I can honestly say her passion for the job has never faltered.
“She loves her patients and has always brought so much joy to the workplace.

“Julie has always been the go-to person for so many staff members.
“If you’re feeling low, she’ll comfort you, and if you hear laughter, Julie will almost certainly be involve.”
Jen Edgington, director of nursing, physical health practice, also commended Ms Mould’s dedication.
Ms Edgington said: “Julie’s 40 years of service is a remarkable achievement and a testament to her compassion, dedication and unwavering commitment to patient care.”
