Later this summer, My Chemical Romance will return to the United States as the group continues its Long Live The Black Parade Tour. The venture began last year in America and the group has spent much of 2026 moving through South America, Central America and the United Kingdom before another round of domestic shows kicks off.

The outfit – riding on a high on the massively successful tour – recently reissued a deluxe edition of Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. The expanded set features previously unreleased bonus tracks and The Mad Gear and Missile Kid EP. Originally released in 2010, Danger Days remains, somewhat shockingly considering how popular My Chemical Romance is today, the band’s most recent full-length.

The album returns to half a dozen Billboard rankings this week, reaching the top 10 on almost all of them and nearly earning the group another No. 1.

My Chemical Romance Nearly Scores a New No. 1

Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys blasts back onto the Vinyl Albums chart this week, where it can be found at No. 2. That position marks a new high for the project, which has now spent three weeks on the format-specific roster after first debuting more than a decade and a half ago, in February 2011.

The title misses out on becoming My Chemical Romance’s second leader on the Vinyl Albums chart by only one space. The Heated Rivalry soundtrack holds at No. 1 after finally becoming available on physical formats months after the series grew into a global phenomenon.

My Chemical Romance does manage to beat several major new releases this period. The Rolling Stones’ Foreign Tongues, Jack White’s Frozen Charlotte and Future’s The Real Me appear at Nos. 3, 4 and 7, respectively.

My Chemical Romance’s Comeback Matches Two Other Albums

Danger Days becomes the third My Chemical Romance release to peak at No. 2 on the Vinyl Albums chart. It joins The Black Parade and I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love, which reached the same position roughly a year apart despite originally dropping many years earlier.

The band has conquered the vinyl tally in America only once. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge debuted on the roster in February 2015 and finally climbed to No. 1 more than a decade later, reaching the summit last June.

My Chemical Romance has sent six projects to the Vinyl Albums list throughout the years. Life on the Murder Scene also became a top 10 success, but only barely, as it peaked at No. 10.

May Death Never Stop You: The Greatest Hits 2001–2013 is the group’s only entry to miss the highest tier. It debuted and peaked at No. 14 in the spring of 2014.

My Chemical Romance’s Album Reaches a New Sales Peak

Danger Days also establishes a new high point on the Top Album Sales chart, where it reenters at No. 3. The tally counts paid purchases of complete albums across physical formats and digital downloads, and clearly vinyl played a huge role on the band’s current success.

The No. 3 return nearly brings My Chemical Romance back to its career high. The Black Parade and Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge both stalled at No. 2, coming within one rung of giving the band a champion on the competitive sales roster.

During the latest tracking period, the nearly 16-year-old Danger Days moved 35,400 equivalent album units, according to Luminate. Traditional purchases accounted for 33,100 copies of that sum. That’s an enormous sales figure for any current release, let alone a project that arrived more than a decade ago.

My Chemical Romance Returns to Three Rock Charts

Of the four additional rankings where Danger Days reappears, the collection reaches the top five on three of them at the same time. It lands at No. 4 on both the Top Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts and at No. 5 on the slightly broader Top Rock & Alternative Albums roster. The set has previously conquered all three of those genre-focused lists.

Danger Days also becomes a top 20 success again on the Billboard 200. The collection reenters the all-genre albums list – the most competitive published in America – at No. 15. That’s just seven spaces below its No. 8 career peak.

My Chemical Romance Returns to the Billboard 200

Two more My Chemical Romance favorites return to the charts as well in what has turned out to be a huge week for the band. The Black Parade reappears at No. 176 on the Billboard 200 and No. 50 – last place – on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums ranking, while also climbing to No. 32 on Top Album Sales chart. Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge returns to the sales tally at No. 40 in its milestone one-hundredth week as a bestseller.
