The Secretary-General of the Arab League condemns Iranian attacks in calls with the foreign ministers of the UAE, Oman, and Kuwait

Cairo, Egypt – Arab League Secretary-General Nabil Fahmy, in telephone calls with the foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Kuwait,

condemned the Iranian attacks, stressing that they constitute a flagrant violation of international law

and a threat to the security and stability of the region.

Condemnation of Iranian attacks

During the communications, the Secretary-General of the Arab League affirmed his rejection of the Iranian attacks,

describing them as criminal acts that violate the principles of international law and affect the sovereignty and security of states.

He stressed the importance of respecting the rules of international law

and refraining from any actions that would increase tension in the region.

The telephone calls included the foreign ministers of the UAE, Oman, and Kuwait.

During these calls, they discussed recent security developments and their implications for regional security.

They also emphasized the importance of coordinating Arab positions in confronting current challenges.

The consultations also addressed ways to support efforts aimed

at containing the escalation and maintaining the security and stability of the region.

Call for de-escalation

The Secretary-General of the Arab League stressed the need to intensify diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation.

He also emphasized the importance of addressing crises through dialogue

and peaceful means in order to preserve regional security and stability.

These contacts come amidst escalating regional tensions and ongoing Arab

and international efforts to contain the repercussions of recent security developments.
