Langham Hospitality has confirmed The Langham, Custom House, Bangkok will welcome first guest from late 2026. The 60 guestroom and 15 suite luxury property was announced two years ago, incorporating the heritage building on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.

This week at ILTM Asia Pacific in Singapore, details on the property were revealed, alongside a sneak peek at the first interior of a Deluxe River View Balcony.

The Langham, Custom House, Bangkok, opening in late 2026

Established in 1888, the landmark once welcomed merchants, diplomats and travellers from around the world as they arrived in Siam, as Thailand was formerly known. Following a significant heritage restoration project, the national treasure begins a new chapter as an intimate riverside sanctuary
where heritage, culture, gastronomy and celebration come together.

The hotel features the Main Custom House Building alongside two other meticulously restored heritage buildings, including one of Thailand’s earliest post offices, and a contemporary accommodation wing. Set in the heart of Bangkok’s historic Bang Rak district, The Langham, Custom House, Bangkok offers bespoke luxury stays characterised by The Langham Hotels & Resorts’ unique ‘British heart, Asian soul’ approach to hospitality.

Together, they create a hotel experienced in many ways: the restored buildings form its social heart, home to restaurants, bars and grand event spaces, while the new wing is dedicated to stays and wellbeing, housing all 75 rooms and suites, Chuan Spa and the fitness centre.

The contemporary building further connects with its surroundings, with a

curved form inspired by the movement and flow of the Chao Phraya River and a faceted glass façade that captures shifting reflections of the water. Set within the secluded contemporary accommodation wing reserved for hotel guests, the rooms and suites combine residential elegance, thoughtful details and modern comfort, with views ranging from the Chao Phraya River to courtyards, garden walls and the city skyline.

In contrast to the grandeur of the heritage buildings, the rooms at The Langham, Custom House, Bangkok offer a luxurious residential experience, utilising The Langham Hotels & Resorts’ signature understated palette, alongside warm metals and textures that nod to Thailand’s rich culture.

There are four types of accommodation offered: Classic Collection, River View Collection, Pool Terrace Collection and the Specialty Suites – the most distinctive of the options.

The Langham, Custom House, Bangkok features two restaurants (including the Three-Michelin-starred Cantonese T’ang Court), and the Chuan Spa, inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine and The Langham’s renowned wellness philosophy.
