Fast-bowler Jofra Archer has been named in the England cricket team’s 17-member squad for the five-match ENG vs IND T20 2026 series, scheduled to start on July 1.

The opening match of the England vs India T20 series will take place at the Riverside Ground Durham before the action moves to Old Trafford, Manchester for the second game.

The third and fourth matches will be held at Trent Bridge, Nottingham and the Bristol County Ground, respectively, before the series concludes at The Rose Bowl in Southampton.

Jofra Archer, who was Rajasthan Royals’ top-wicket-taker in IPL 2026 with 25 scalps in 16 games, is currently with England’s Test squad for the ongoing three-match series against New Zealand.

After making his T20 debut for England in 2019, the 31-year-old pacer has taken 57 wickets in 45 matches at an average of 24.15 and an economy of 8.31 in the format.

Archer, who last featured in 20-over cricket for England against India in the semi-final of the T20 World Cup earlier this year, has taken most of his wickets in the format against the Men in Blue.

As many as 15 of his 57 scalps in T20s have come against India. Archer’s best bowling figures of 4/33 also came against India in 2021.

The ODI World Cup-winning English pacer will be up against his Royals teammate Vaibhav Sooryavanshi in the T20 series against India.

The prodigious teenager was earlier rewarded for his record-breaking IPL season with a maiden call-up to the Indian T20 squad for the upcoming tours of Ireland and England as well as Asian Games 2026.
