Indonesia unveils $1.48bn stimulus to fight energy crisis, currency slump

JAKARTA — Indonesia on Monday announced economic stimulus worth 26.34 trillion rupiah ($1.48 billion) for the second half of 2026, looking to boost growth as the nation struggles to address the global energy crisis and faces domestic pressures that have seen the currency slump.
