A 43-year-old Indian expatriate from Kerala, Anwar Sadiq, has died after suffering a cardiac arrest following a badminton game in Ajman, UAE.

Sadiq had gone for his regular game with a group of friends when he suddenly began experiencing pain in his left arm. According to his brother-in-law, he sat down to rest and had a lemon soda before deciding to head home.

However, he reportedly collapsed inside his car in the parking area shortly afterwards.

Fellow players rushed to assist him and called for an ambulance, but despite their efforts, he could not be revived.

Sadiq, who had been living in the UAE for 15 years, is survived by his wife and two children.

His death comes just two days after another Indian expatriate reportedly died of a heart attack while playing cricket in Dubai.
