Professor allegedly stabbed university vice president to death

The victim, Liao Linqing, 60, is the vice president of Chongqing University of Technology, according to Caixin.

Police revealed that Wang, the alleged perpetrator, stabbed his colleague Liao, to death with a knife in their residential compound.

Online reports have found that Wang, 58, is an associate professor in Chongqing University of Technology’s computer science department, reported Sinchew.

The university has not released an official statement regarding the incident.
