KUALA LUMPUR (June 3): Mechanical and electrical engineering and renewable energy firm ES Sunlogy Bhd’s (KL:SUNLOGY) wholly owned subsidiary Savelite Engineering Sdn Bhd has secured a RM12.71 million contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd (KL:TENAGA).

In a Bursa Malaysia filing on Wednesday, ES Sunlogy said the contract involves the establishment of a 275/33-kilovolt (kV) main transmission intake (TMI) facility in Lembah Beringin, Selangor.

A TMI is the interconnection point where high-voltage transmission power from the national grid system (typically 132kV or 275kV) is received and stepped down for distribution to end consumers.

ES Sunlogy stated that the contract price is a net price, inclusive of materials, project insurance, delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning. The defect notification period is 365 days.

The contract commenced on Wednesday, and project completion is scheduled within 210 days.

ES Sunlogy expects the contract to contribute positively to the company’s net assets per share, earnings per share and gearing throughout the duration of the contract.
