Donald Trump may have spent two days lavishing praise on his host, Xi Jinping, but he has nothing obvious to show for it.
There was talk of a “new bilateral relationship” and the US President said he “made no commitment” to Xi on Taiwan.
But there are also no major trade deals in the offing and no indication Beijing will help the US end its war with Iran.
