Malaysian law firm Skrine has strengthened its dispute resolution practice with the return of partner Brenda Chan, effective 7 May 2026.
Chan rejoins the firm from D&P Law Group, where she spent two years, having headed the disputes practice group. Prior to that, she spent nearly four years at Meng Wai & Associates and more than three years at Skrine.
Chan’s expertise covers civil and commercial litigation, with a particular focus on banking and debt recovery matters, commercial and corporate disputes, and land and strata management disputes.
“Brenda’s appointment reflects Skrine’s continued commitment to strengthening our disputes offering and ensuring that we are well placed to support clients on complex and high-value litigation matters. She brings with her significant experience in commercial and civil litigation, including shareholder, contractual and corporate disputes, and we are very pleased to welcome her to the partnership,” Ivan Loo, head of dispute resolution at Skrine, told Asia Business Law Journal.
Loo added that Skrine would continue to focus on expanding its dispute resolution practice.
