Located at 19–21 Berry Lane in Longridge, the hub was launched by Cash Access UK to provide customers with improved access to essential financial services.

The hub offers a full range of services including withdrawals, deposits, bill payments, and balance enquiries Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

Community banker services are also available, with staff from major banks on-site to assist with more complex transactions on scheduled days.

Experts from Lloyds, Halifax, and Bank of Scotland will be available on Mondays and Wednesdays, while NatWest will be in attendance on Thursdays from 9am to 4.30pm.

No community bankers will be available on Tuesdays or Fridays.

The Longridge hub was recommended by LINK following a community request.

A temporary site had been operating at Longridge Civic Hall during refurbishment of the permanent location.

The temporary hub has now closed.

Maya Ellis, MP for Ribble Valley, attended the opening to cut the ribbon.

Gareth Oakley, chief executive of Cash Access UK, said: “I’m happy to announce the opening of our Longridge hub, ensuring crucial access to cash and face-to-face banking services for residents and businesses across the community.

“The way we bank and pay for things is changing, which is why we are rolling out solutions, including banking hubs as well as deposit ATMs that help small businesses to readily bank cash.”

There are now 12 hubs open in Lancashire, with two set to open soon in Ormskirk and Skelmersdale.
