Meraas, a member of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has signed main construction contracts totalling Dh2.4bn ($653.39m) for new phases of its villa projects, The Acres and The Acres Estates, in Dubailand.

The contract for The Acres was awarded to United Engineering Construction (UNEC), while GCC Contracting will oversee work at The Acres Estates.

The awarded contracts encompass the delivery of 557 villas, including all stages from building and testing to commissioning and final handover.

Within this scope, The Acres will feature the development of 371 villas, ranging from three to five bedrooms, along with essential infrastructure to support the community.

The Acres Estates will add 186 residences, each offering five to seven bedrooms and built on a larger scale for increased exclusivity.

Dubai Holding Real Estate CEO Khalid Al Malik said: “This award reflects both the strength of demand for premium villa communities in Dubai and our continued investment in meeting that demand with quality and distinction.

“The Acres and The Acres Estates are key to our strategy of delivering thoughtfully designed environments that combine nature, connectivity and long-term value. As we advance delivery, our focus remains on raising the standard for sustainable, community-led living in Dubai.”

The Acres development includes Halo Loop Park, a landscaped green space offering a variety of amenities.

According to information available on The Acres’ website, handover of the properties is planned for the first quarter of 2028.

UNEC chairman Abdul Halim Muwahid said: “We are focused on efficient execution and maintaining the highest construction standards throughout the project life cycle.”

Meanwhile, The Acres Estates will provide larger residences, distinctive architectural designs, and enhanced landscaping, in addition to swimmable lagoon features and premium waterfront spaces.

GCC Contracting executive director and CEO Bipin Chandran said: “The Acres Estates is a high-specification residential development, and we are committed to delivering it with the precision and technical expertise required for projects of this calibre.”

The overall development has achieved LEED Gold for Communities Precertification, signalling an approach focused on sustainable planning and efficient use of resources.

The location in Dubailand grants connectivity via Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street and Emirates Road, and proximity to sites such as Global Village, Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club, and Hamdan Sports Complex.
