Engineers are en route to a leak in Clitheroe this afternoon, with United Utilities expecting to close the road.

The incident, which is currently ongoing, is on Taylor Street, at the junction with Holden Street.

Currently, the timescale for repairs to be made remains unclear and will only become apparent once engineers have got there and done their investigations.

A road closure is anticipated to ensure that the public and United Utilities staff can remain safe whilst they resolve the issue.

United Utilities is encouraging customers to contact them if they’re experiencing low water pressure or no water, so that the company can properly support them and thank those who have already done so.

Jonathan Hinder, MP for Pendle and Clitheroe says that he spoke to United Utilities to make them aware of the issue.
