Nittetsu Mining Co., Ltd. ( (JP:1515) ) just unveiled an announcement.

Nittetsu Mining Co., Ltd. has agreed to participate in the Oracle Ridge copper exploration project in Arizona, U.S.A., through a joint venture with Australia-based Eagle Mountain Mining. The company plans to invest a total of USD 20 million over four years in environmental permitting, drilling exploration, and feasibility assessments, securing an 80% stake in the venture and 100% offtake rights for future production.

By establishing a presence in the United States, Nittetsu aims to leverage its Chilean copper mining experience while reducing geographic concentration risk in its metal resources portfolio. The Oracle Ridge project is positioned as a development opportunity sized to match Nittetsu’s financial and technical capabilities, supporting the company’s broader growth strategy in overseas metal resource development.
