Global entertainment distribution company Radial Entertainment and U.K.-based indie producer Woodcut Media June 18 announced the expansion of the “Most Evil” franchise with “World’s Most Evil Women,” a new true crime series investigating the women behind recent history’s most heinous crimes.
“World’s Most Evil Women” explores a range of high-profile and deeply unsettling cases that have captured international attention. Dispelling the myth of the “nurturing” woman, the series unmasks those who traded compassion for cruelty, committing acts so heinous they shattered the peace of entire communities. Running for 10 hourlong episodes, each case delves into the psychology behind the crimes and the choices that plunged their lives into chaos, keeping the focus on understanding their motivations rather than pure spectacle.
Cases covered include the twisted world of Jennifer Faith, who orchestrated her husband’s execution; Nancy Brophy, the romance novelist who turned her fictional murder plot into a reality; Brenda Delgado, whose jealousy ended in a cold-blooded hit; and Amanda Taylor, the widow who celebrated a brutal revenge killing with a selfie.
The series will make its debut later this summer on Radial’s FilmRise channel across streaming devices and apps in the U.S. and Canada, with new episodes releasing each week. Woodcut will handle international sales.
“World’s Most Evil Women” is driven by a female creative team spanning both Woodcut Media and Radial Entertainment teams. The series is led by executive producers Angie Cox and Koulla Anastasi of Woodcut, and Katie Carroll and Cristina Guggino of Radial Entertainment. The series producer is Madeline Chiari of Woodcut Media.
“’World’s Most Evil Women’ exposes how manipulation is weaponized to reach a goal, proving that sometimes a woman with a plan and a motive is the most lethal force imaginable,” Chiari said. “We gained exclusive access to people who knew the killers, who fought to get justice for their loved ones and even a victim who lived to tell the tale. And the police officers who worked to expose the lies, the scheming, the manipulation and the premeditation that led nature’s caregivers to take a life.”
The deal was negotiated by Koulla Anastasi, managing director of Woodcut International, and Guggino, VP of originals and content partnerships for Radial Entertainment.
“The most dangerous assumption in true crime is that evil has a gender,” Guggino said. “We greenlight originals with a clear point of view, and ‘World’s Most Evil Women’ has one of the sharpest. Bringing it to audiences alongside longtime partner Woodcut Media is exactly the kind of collaboration that defines Radial Originals.”
