Notably, at age 21, she photographed the Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022 Olympic Games, gaining early exposure to large-scale international production environments and the complexities of global sports media.

Actively involved in the broader media and technology ecosystem, Ms. Tan serves as Co-Chair of the Innovation Zone for the Hollywood Professional Association since 2025, where she curates technologies and helps convene industry leaders and innovators from across the media landscape. She is also an angel investor and member of The Council, and has mentored for organizations like Swissnex and Rise Women in Broadcast. In addition, she was invited as an honorable judge for Project Odyssey Season Two and the Chroma Awards, among the first film festivals dedicated to AI-driven storytelling, showcasing how generative tools are reshaping filmmaking. Ms. Tan’s academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in media communications with a minor in international studies, Magna cum laude, from Asbury University. Subsequently, she received a Master of Arts in new media photojournalism from The George Washington University. These academic achievements have provided a strong foundation for Ms. Tan’s work in media and technology. Additionally, she holds several Google certifications in digital marketing, e-commerce, and project management that complement her professional expertise.

Ms. Tan’s earlier career spans digital strategy, content creation, and editing roles, where she developed a foundation in storytelling across film, photography, and digital media. As senior editor for Asian & Loud in early 2020, she contributed to a book that allowed her to develop compelling narratives for diverse audiences. She has also worked as a freelance creative across multiple disciplines, contributing to projects in the United States, Europe, and Asia.
