New energy vehicle manufacturer BYD on Sunday opened its new showroom at 100 Feet, Madani Avenue, Vatara in the capital, said a press release.
This expansion is being carried out through Otto Fix Limited, regional dealer partner of CG Runner BD Limited, the sole distributor of BYD in Bangladesh.
Member of parliament Shimul Biswas and CG Runner Bangladesh chairman Hafizur Rahman Khan inaugurated the showroom.
In his address, Hafizur Rahman Khan said, ‘Launching this showroom at Madani Avenue marks a significant step towards bringing eco-friendly and world-class automotive technology to the heart of Dhaka. CG Runner BD is playing a leading role in achieving the government’s target of ensuring 30 per cent electric vehicles by 2030.’
Shimul Biswas stated, ‘Bangladesh stands at a pivotal moment in adopting sustainable mobility solutions. Through forward-looking initiatives, we are committed to making advanced, eco-friendly vehicle technologies more accessible to our people.’
Otto Fix chairman Md Lutfor Rahman, in his welcome speech, highlighted that the showroom had been designed to offer a premium customer experience.
A skilled team will ensure both sales and after-sales services for vehicles equipped with advanced EV and Super Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) technologies, he said.
At the launch event, attendees explored BYD’s flagship model BYD Seal, the country’s first Super Plug-in Hybrid BYD Sealion 6, and BYD Atto 3.
