Jakarta will host the 2026 Clash of Legends at the GBK Stadium on the 18th of April, pitting DRX World Legends against Barcelona Legends, featuring stars such as Ronaldo and Del Piero.
The event has undergone a slight change. Originally, Real Madrid Legends were scheduled to compete, but this was cancelled due to the ongoing Middle East conflict. Instead, DRX World Legends—featuring various world football legends including Ronaldo, Alessandro Del Piero, and Franck Ribéry—will face Barcelona Legends.
This change was announced directly by the promoters, Senyawa Entertainment, MPRO International, and Dewa United, during a press conference at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on Wednesday, the 8th of April.
“We fully understand the expectations of fans, especially Real Madrid supporters, who are eagerly awaiting the presence of their favourite team. Therefore, even though they will not be wearing the club’s name, these Real Madrid legends remain committed to coming to Jakarta. We have also announced the line-up of Barcelona Legends and DRX World Legends players who will appear on the 18th of April,” said Senyawa Entertainment CEO Reza Subekti.
The DRX World Legends team features 11 world football legends, including Michel Salgado, Fabio Cannavaro, Claude Makélélé, Sébastien Frey, David Silva, Keisuke Honda, Franck Ribéry, and Alessandro Del Piero. Ronaldo will serve as team manager. In addition, several national football legends will also be joining DRX World Legends, including Firman Utina, Greg Nwokolo, Arthur Irawan, Irfan Bachdim, Ismed Sofyan, and Maman Abdurrahman.
Meanwhile, the Barcelona Legends squad will be bolstered by Rivaldo, Patrick Kluivert, Phillip Cocu, Ricardo Quaresma, and Javier Saviola, among others. This also marks Kluivert’s return following his previous stint coaching the Indonesian national team.
The 2026 Clash of Legends will be officiated by legendary Italian referee Pierluigi Collina.
Dewa United representative Hardiyanto Kenneth emphasised that, despite recent changes, they remain committed to providing the best possible spectacle for fans.
“Essentially, we want to deliver a memorable spectacle, as this is a historic occasion. Of course, we are providing the best possible replacement. The price increase does not matter; the show must go on. We want to satisfy the fans’ longing,” he said.
Kenneth also added that the presence of some of world football’s biggest names is expected to attract attention not only from Indonesia, but also from across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
“We are inviting legendary footballers. Many sectors will benefit, from MSMEs, food and beverage, and transportation to hotel occupancy,” he said.
As a token of appreciation for fans, every Category 3 ticket purchased from the start until the 8th of April will include one additional ticket free of charge in the same category. Furthermore, Category 3 tickets purchased from the 8th to the 16th of April will be available at a special price of Rp300,000 per ticket.
