FaZe continued their impressive resurgence at XSE Pro League Guangzhou 2026 by defeating BetBoom 2-0 in the quarterfinals. After a difficult start to the tournament, the international roster produced one of its cleanest performances yet, dominating both Cache and Ancient to secure a place in the semifinals.

Road to the semifinals

FaZe’s run in Guangzhou has been a remarkable turnaround. After opening the Swiss Stage with defeats to TYLOO and MIBR, they fought back by eliminating SINNERS, 3DMAX, and EYEBALLERS to qualify for the playoffs with a 3-2 record. Their victory over BetBoom now sends them into the semifinals.

BetBoom, meanwhile, enjoyed a strong Swiss Stage. They defeated SINNERS, BIG, and Nemesis, before reaching the playoffs. Their tournament comes to an end with a 5th-8th place finish following the quarterfinal defeat.

FaZe dominate from start to finish

The series opened on Cache, FaZe’s map pick, where they immediately seized control. A dominant CT side gave them a 10-2 halftime advantage before they comfortably closed the map 13-2.

BetBoom looked to respond on Ancient, but FaZe remained in complete control. Once again, they built a commanding first-half lead and finished the job with a convincing 13-6 victory, ending the series without allowing their opponents to build any momentum.

frozen leads another dominant display

David “frozen” Čerňanský was the standout performer of the series and earned Player of the Match honors. Across two maps, the Slovak rifler recorded 38 kills, 109.8 ADR, and a superb 1.89 rating, consistently shutting down BetBoom’s attacks and creating space for his teammates.

Ryan “Neityu” Aubry also impressed with a 1.57 rating, while Russel “Twistzz” Van Dulken finished on 1.47. BetBoom struggled collectively, with only Magnojez ending the series with a positive rating (1.13).

FaZe celebrated another convincing victory on social media. Jason “JBOEN” Böe Nielsen posted:

2-0 vs BETBOOM. Insane game again! Very clean, semifinals soon! LETS FUCKING GOOO.

BetBoom thanked its supporters after the elimination, writing:

Our journey at XSE Pro League Guangzhou 2026 comes to an end. Thank you all so much for your support.

VRS update

The win also boosted FaZe’s position in the Valve Regional Standings. The team earned 40 VRS points, climbing from No. 21 to No. 18, while BetBoom lost 24 points, dropping from No. 8 to No. 9.
