They say love conquers all, and for Hong Ling, that includes overcoming her fear of heights.
Recently, the 31-year-old Mediacorp actress shared on Instagram an unforgettable moment she experienced with husband Nick Teo, whom she married in 2023, during their trip to Chongqing.
“At some point in life, someone might ask you to jump out of a plane. It’s important that you say yes,” Hong Ling wrote. She also joked in her video: “Be careful who you choose to marry. He might make you jump out of a plane.”
In her video, the actress revealed that the couple had gone skydiving. Before boarding the plane, she and Nick were seen exchanging high fives.
Hong Ling later shared another video capturing the exact moment she leapt from the plane with her skydiving instructor, captioning it: “Bucket list: Skydiving” followed by a check mark emoji.
“I did it!!! For years, I was terrified of heights. But I kept thinking that if I waited until I was older, I’d become even more afraid to take risks,” she exclaimed.
She also said she was glad to be “alive” and thrilled to have ticked another item off her bucket list.
“There is still so much of the world I want to see, so many places I want to explore, and so many adventures I want to share with Nick,” she added.
“I don’t want fear, age, or ‘maybe someday’ to stop me from creating memories that will last a lifetime.”
Nick also took to the comments to applaud his wife’s courage.
“You’re so amazing! I was almost tempted to back out at the last minute too… but I don’t really have a choice,” he quipped.
