New Zealand’s iSim Highlights Hawker 800XP Simulator Access in Bangkok for 2026 Asia-Pacific Training Demand

Thailand – iSim Ltd, a New Zealand-based manufacturer of advanced flight simulators, is promoting its Hawker 800XP Motion Flight Training Device (FTD) in Bangkok, Thailand, targeting operators and training organisations facing simulator scheduling bottlenecks for training and checking requirements.

  • The iSim Hawker 800XP Motion FTD features an FFS-architecture motion platform, Pro Line 21 avionics replication, and compliance with EASA CS-FSTD(A) and FAA AC-120-45A standards, manufactured at iSim’s Hamilton, New Zealand facility.
  • The cockpit is housed on an aluminium base with a Hawker 800XP cockpit enclosure, providing structural support for instrument panel frames, control columns, rudder pedals, and seats. The majority of cockpit equipment consists of replicated parts manufactured by iSim Ltd that are practically indistinguishable from actual aircraft components, maintaining equivalent form, fit, and function to aircraft systems while preserving authentic operation and feel for procedural realism.
  • The Bangkok location provides regional FSTD access for Hawker 800XP operators across the Asia-Pacific region, reducing the need for operators to ferry crews to distant simulator locations for recurrent training and checking.

Last year AFM reported that iSim had successfully developed a custom control loading system for a Hawker 800 business jet simulator. Utilizing Iris Dynamics’ ORCATM Series Smart Linear Motors, iSim has enhanced flight control realism by integrating advanced force feedback technology into its training platform. The project utilized the ORCA-6-24V Linear Actuator, offering precise, smooth, and backdrivable force feedback. Traditional control loading systems required complex gear trains, load cells, and servo motors, making integration costly and time-consuming. ORCA motors provided a more efficient solution.

About iSim Ltd
