Why Dubai Islands Could Become Dubai’s Next Luxury Address, According to Satish Sanpal

Dubai has never stood still when it comes to luxury real estate. Over the past two decades, each new wave of development has created destinations that have gone on to define the citys premium property market. Palm Jumeirah transformed waterfront living, Downtown Dubai became the centrepiece of urban luxury, and Dubai Marina established itself as one of the regions most recognisable residential communities.

Today, attention is increasingly turning towards Dubai Islands.

As one of Dubais newest waterfront master developments, the area is attracting developers looking to create communities centred around lifestyle, hospitality and long-term investment potential. Among them is ANAX Developments, led by Founder and Chairman Satish Sanpal, whose flagship project, ELLE Residences Dubai Islands, reflects the companys belief that luxury living is evolving beyond traditional residential concepts.

A New Chapter for Dubai Waterfront Living

Dubai Islands forms part of Dubais long-term vision to expand its coastline and create destinations that combine residential living with tourism, leisure and hospitality. The masterplan includes beaches, marinas, hotels, parks, retail destinations and waterfront communities designed to appeal to both residents and international visitors.

Unlike more established districts, Dubai Islands offers developers the opportunity to contribute to a community that is still taking shape. That has made it particularly attractive for projects that place greater emphasis on design, wellness and lifestyle rather than simply adding residential inventory.

For Satish Sanpal, the appeal of the location lies in how closely it reflects Dubais continuing evolution.

Speaking at the launch of ELLE Residences Dubai Islands, he said:

Dubai is a city that thrives on creativity, ambition and global appeal, and this is exactly what ELLE Residences Dubai Islands represents.

That philosophy has become central to ANAX Developments approach, with projects designed to combine architecture, hospitality-inspired amenities and lifestyle-focused living.

Why Dubai Islands Is Gaining Attention

Luxury buyers increasingly look beyond location alone when choosing where to invest. Access to the waterfront remains highly desirable, but buyers are also considering walkability, wellness facilities, hospitality services and the overall character of a community.

Dubai Islands has been planned around many of these priorities. The development is expected to include kilometres of coastline, resorts, recreational facilities and mixed-use neighbourhoods, creating an environment that supports both permanent residents and international property investors.

As infrastructure continues to develop, many in the property sector see Dubai Islands as one of the citys emerging luxury destinations.

The Growing Appeal of Branded Residences

One of the most significant trends shaping luxury real estate is the rise of branded residences.

Once associated primarily with luxury hotels, branded residences have expanded to include collaborations with globally recognised names in fashion, automotive design and hospitality. Buyers are increasingly attracted to developments that combine high-quality design with established international brands and curated lifestyle experiences.

This trend provided the backdrop for ANAX Developments partnership with ELLE, resulting in the first ELLE-branded residential project in the Middle East.

Rather than simply licensing a name, the collaboration aims to reflect the design values and lifestyle identity associated with the globally recognised fashion and lifestyle brand, bringing those principles into a residential environment on Dubai Islands.

A Different Vision of Luxury

The definition of luxury property has evolved considerably over the past decade.

Where buyers once focused primarily on size, exclusivity and finishes, todays market increasingly values experience. Wellness facilities, concierge services, thoughtfully designed communal spaces and integrated lifestyle offerings have become important considerations for many purchasers, particularly international investors and second-home buyers.

Developments that successfully combine these elements often seek to create destinations rather than standalone residential buildings, reflecting broader shifts in buyer expectations across global luxury markets.

This philosophy is evident in the positioning of ELLE Residences, which has been designed around lifestyle, design and hospitality as much as architecture itself.

Looking Ahead

Dubai has consistently demonstrated its ability to create globally recognised destinations through long-term planning and ambitious development. As new waterfront communities continue to emerge, Dubai Islands is increasingly being viewed as one of the citys most closely watched luxury locations.

While the district is still developing, projects such as ELLE Residences illustrate how developers are seeking to shape its identity through branded partnerships, contemporary design and experience-led living.

For Satish Sanpal, the project represents more than a residential development. It reflects a broader vision of how luxury living in Dubai continues to evolve, where architecture, design and lifestyle combine to create communities that look beyond todays market and towards the future.
