The 16-year-old Oswestry Golf Club member, who already plays off an impressive +3 handicap, showed maturity beyond his years across the four-day tournament, held from April 5 to 8.
He posted rounds of 75, 72 and 74 for a three-round total of 221, enough to earn a share of the lead and force a sudden-death playoff in his age category.
Rickett then held his nerve superbly, finally clinching the title on the third extra hole by holing an 18-foot birdie putt to secure the Faldo Series trophy and the added reward of a spot in November’s Grand Final in Dubai.
His consistency against a bumper field also saw him finish tied sixth in the overall standings across all age groups at Brocket Hall, which this year marked the 30th anniversary of the Faldo Series and attracted more than 240 elite players from across Europe.
The Brocket Hall success caps a superb winter for the teenager, who has been based in Spain at Alhaurín Golf Resort, sharpening his game against high‑level international opposition.
During his time on the continent he finished runner‑up in the Portuguese Collegiate, third in the Finnish Open and added two top‑10 finishes on the Toro Tour, competing in professional fields that included former Ryder Cup players.
With his place in Dubai now secured, Rickett will quickly switch his attention back to domestic action, with the Welsh Men’s Amateur Championship on the horizon in the coming weeks.
On current form, the Oswestry youngster will be one to watch as he looks to carry his winter and Faldo Series momentum into a potentially landmark 2026 amateur season.
