The Asian bank said it intends to hire a number of experience relationship managers and team leaders in the next few weeks.
UOB Private Bank, part of Singapore-headquartered UOB, has appointed Paul Zhou as
market head for Greater China, taking effect from yesterday.
The bank said it will also hire several experienced RMs and team
leaders during this month and June.
Prior to this, Zhou had been head of sales and distribution
at UOB China since 2018. Before that, Zhou held senior leadership
positions at Ping An Trust and Citibank, where he oversaw private
banking teams, drove customer acquisition and growth, and managed
investment and sales strategies across multiple Chinese cities.
He began his career in banking with The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi
and also worked at HSBC, UOB said in a statement yesterday.
Zhou holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and banking from the
Finance and Banking Institution of China in Beijing.
Late last week, UOB reported
its first-quarter 2026 financial results.
