His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has called on all residents to raise the UAE flag.

In a post on social media, Sheikh Mohammed said that the nation has emerged from the recent crisis more united, cohesive and loyal than ever before.

Following a difficult period, many community initiatives have been launched across industries to help support local businesses and residents through hard times. These include Dubai’s Fine Way to Dine initiative and Parkin’s Spots for Shops scheme.

The call to raise the flag reflects the united spirit that has been shown across the UAE in recent times.

On X, formerly Twitter, Sheikh Mohammed called for all residents to raise the flag as a symbol of unity and pride.

He said: “The United Arab Emirates entered the recent crisis united and emerged from it even more united, cohesive, and loyal citizens and residents, young and old, military and civilians, government and economic sectors all united under the banner of the state, its flag, and the symbol of its unity.

“The flag of the UAE is a symbol of strength and pride. We call upon the sons of the UAE and its residents on its blessed land to raise it above homes, institutions, and buildings.

“Proud of our country, proud of our country’s president, proud of our armed forces, proud of the strength of our economy, proud of our work teams, proud of all our citizens and residents on our land. Proud of our flag.

“Let us raise the flag high above every home and building, a sign of our love, and a symbol of our loyalty to our country’s president and the banner of our unity and solidarity.”
