TK Chiang, CEO of CLP, said Hong Kong is well positioned to support the rapid rise of AI data centers. According to the company’s interim earnings report, AI-related demand is growing steadily, with data centers accounting for about 12% of electricity consumption in the first half of the year. Chiang added that revenue generated by data-center demand helps offset tariff pressure.
