Delhi has unleashed reign of terror in IIOJK: APHC

Srinagar : The All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has said the BJP regime has unleashed a reign of terror against the Muslim population of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Indian forces’ personnel, including the dreaded National Investigation Agency and State Investigation Agency, are continuing massive crackdown and house raid operations in different districts of IIOJK, subjecting residents to severe harassment.

APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, in a statement issued in Srinagar, said Indian forces and agencies are continuously committing systematic human rights violations, including arresting youth, attaching properties, and summoning activists to police stations to intimidate Kashmiris into submission. However, he added, they will never succeed in their nefarious designs.

The APHC urged the international community to hold India accountable for its war crimes in IIOJK. The APHC said every Kashmiri feels suffocated in an atmosphere of fear and terror in IIOJK, where people continue to live in dire conditions created by the presence of more than 1 million Indian troops. It stated that India has turned Kashmir into a giant open-air prison and that the Modi regime has trampled all basic rights of the people of IIOJK.

The Hurriyat spokesman noted that the common man is subjected to brutal repression during daily cordons, searches and raids, while Indian authorities are randomly arresting civilians and invoking black laws against them.

The Conference said Modi and his henchmen must know that their cruel methods against Kashmiris are bound to backfire, as Kashmiris are determined to continue their struggle against Indian occupation against all odds.

The APHC urged the world to come forward in a big way to rescue the beleaguered people of IIOJK and called on the United Nations to fulfill its responsibility with regard to the lingering Kashmir dispute.
