This giant panda has summer all figured out

While the rest of us are sweating through June, giant panda Mang Xiaowu at China’s Chongqing Zoo has cracked the code on warm-weather living. And the photos are proof.

In what may be the most relatable summer content of the year, Mang Xiaowu was spotted lounging in a hammock-style tray surrounded by fresh bamboo, munching away without a care in the world. No sunscreen required. No mosquitoes complained about. Just a panda, a pile of bamboo and peak summer energy.

But Mang Xiaowu wasn’t the only one soaking up the season. Photos from the zoo also show a mother panda and her cub sharing a cozy moment in a mesh hammock, the little one clambering onto mom’s back like she’s a living jungle gym. And one younger panda was spotted eyeing a soccer ball and a bamboo basket full of treats, just in time for this year’s FIFA World Cup.

It is, frankly, the summer vibe we all aspire to: good food, a comfortable spot to lounge, maybe a ball to kick around and someone you love nearby.

Chongqing, one of China’s hottest cities in summer, apparently keeps its pandas quite content despite the heat. We could all take a few notes.
