Katie Price’s husband has reportedly been released from the prison where he had struck up a relationship with the banged-up Daniel Kinahan.

Lee Andrews has been making headlines since he first went missing before it was confirmed he was behind bars at Al Awir Central Prison in Dubai.

During his time in the notorious “hell-hole” jail, Price claimed her other half was “speaking Gaelic” with mobster Kinahan and the pair had shared breakfast and dinner together.

Price has now confirmed to The Sun that her husband has been released, with a friend confirming “Lee is out”.

Andrews was reportedly locked up over a “private civil matter” believed to be related to allegations of fraud.

It was believed Andrews had been seeking £140,000 (€162,000) and had asked his wife to set up a GoFundMe to raise the money.

He made the request to Price despite previously claiming that he is a millionaire.

Price has also hinted that she is getting fed up with his antics, telling The Sun: “I need answers, and if I don’t like the answers, I’ll be gone.

“I’m 48. I don’t need to waste my time. We get along really well and he’s so intelligent. As much as I want to listen to the women, (referring to his exes) and I’m really open-minded about it, I know what a good woman I am.

“I’m not a mug, and when I finally see Lee, I am going to question him. And if the answers I get are not right, that will be it: I’ll be done. That’s it. And I’ll just get on with my life… and not find a man on Instagram and message him.”

He was behind bars in what has been described as the “Dubai version of Alcatraz”, which has been home to Irish mob boss Daniel Kinahan since his arrest earlier this year.

Kinahan was apprehended in Dubai following a lengthy joint operation between Irish and United Arab Emirates authorities to bring one of the world’s most wanted alleged criminals to justice.

Al Awir Central Prison, also known as Dubai Central Prison, is a high-security facility in the Al Aweer desert which, while designed to house 4,000 prisoners.

Leeds United’s ex-managing director David Haigh has previously described his experience imprisoned in Dubai as “hell on earth”, while other inmates have shared accounts of poor conditions, violence and arbitrary detention.

Inmates are moved with their hands cuffed behind their back and sometimes chained or shackled at the legs, while male prisoners like Kinahan have their heads shaved when they arrive at the facility.

Andrews was arrested in November at his home in Dubai over allegations relating to the obtaining of money by deception.

The 41-year-old is said to have forged an ex-girlfriend’s signature in order to obtain a loan of £200,000. Andrews denies this, but had not been able to leave the UAE.

Andrews had also previously shared images of himself with Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian which were later confirmed to have been made using AI. It has since been deleted from his Instagram and LinkedIn.

The self-proclaimed millionaire has made a string of false claims, including that he obtained a PhD from Cambridge University and that he was a Member Of The Board of Advisors for the Labour Party and Director of Philanthropy at The King’s Trust, formerly The Prince’s Trust. Neither were found to be the case.

He states on his LinkedIn that he is the founder and chairman of Aura Sustainable and chairman of Aura Middle East Investment Ltd.
