Trump Threatens to Continue Bombing; Pakistan and Japan Call for Talks

As tensions between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran continue to escalate, U.S. President Donald Trump warned in a television interview with Fox News that military strikes would continue if an agreement is not reached, even speaking of the possibility of “heavy bombing in the coming days.”

Trump also claimed that dozens of Tomahawk missiles had been used against targets in Iran, stating that some of these targets were located close to Tehran. Concurrently, reports have emerged of explosions being heard around Payam Airport in Karaj, though these reports have not been independently verified.

In response, Pakistan and Japan expressed deep concern over the escalating crisis and emphasized the necessity for all parties to return to the path of diplomacy.

The spokesperson for Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that Islamabad is concerned about the rising tensions and believes that “dialogue and diplomacy must be the only solution to resolve disputes.” This position was put forward as Islamabad also stressed that it would continue its mediation efforts to defuse the crisis.

Japanese officials also warned of the economic and energy consequences of the crisis, called for ensuring the security of maritime routes, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz, and announced that they would use all diplomatic channels to facilitate negotiations between Washington and Tehran.

These statements come amid rising concerns over the expansion of conflicts in the region and their impact on global energy security.
