Tourists planning a trip to Dubai can get their single-entry tourist visa approved within 48 hours. Valid for 30 to 60 days, tourist visas are available to those who apply through authorised tourism offices, according to the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (GDRFA).
The government authority announced the 48-hour processing time on its Instagram account. The GDRFA website also highlights visa applications via the agency’s digital channels with a 48-hour approval time.
While 70 nationalities (including Indians living in certain countries) are eligible for visas on arrival, others can apply for a single-entry tourist visa before entering the UAE for a fee.
The 30-day single-entry visa costs Dh200 ($54) plus tax and is valid for 30 days upon entry, although it can be extended multiple times for an additional fee. While the 60-day, single-entry visa for longer-term stays costs Dh300 ($82) plus tax, with the possibility of extension within the country.
To be processed, visitors must submit a personal photo, a copy of their passport (valid for six months), and, for some nationalities, a copy of a national identity card to the authorised body. Applicants must also hold a confirmed ticket for departure and valid medical insurance.
