As part of ongoing efforts to modernize systems and enhance the efficiency of technical services at airports, an expanded meeting was held at the Airports Authority headquarters yesterday where a visual presentation by Spanish Company Indra was made on Modern Aviation Technologies.
Attendees included the Head of the Airports Authority, the Deputy Head of the Civil Aviation Authority, the Director of the Standards Compliance Department, the Director of the Equipment and Supplies Department at the Airports Authority, and the Director of the Technical Affairs Department at the Civil Aviation Authority.
The Airports Authority reported that the presentation included an overview of Indira’s key activities and international expertise, focusing on the use of modern technological applications and systems in airport management and operation, and air navigation security.
In accordance with ICAO and IATA standards
The presentation also emphasized how these technological solutions can be implemented in accordance with the recommendations and standards issued by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to ensure the highest levels of safety and operational efficiency.
The Airports Authority reported that the meeting aims to open up opportunities to learn about the latest global technologies and utilize them in developing the digital and technical infrastructure of local airports.
