Katie Price has been embroiled in a whirlwind few months with her husband Lee Andrews after he was reportedly jailed in Dubai over a private civil matter

Katie Price has returned to the UK – and she’s got more to share about her imprisoned husband Lee Andrews.

The entire drama between Katie and Lee began when he was scheduled to catch a flight to the UK to appear on Good Morning Britain. His absence was noted when he failed to turn up, and the ITV breakfast show later received a statement from the Foreign Office indicating that Lee had been detained.

At the time, he refuted this on his social media stories – but subsequently, Katie alleged she hadn’t heard from him in days and the last time they spoke, he was in the back of a van ‘with his hands tied’.

Since then, matters have only become more perplexing – as the Foreign Office didn’t provide any further clarification on what transpired, leading to conjecture about whether Lee was ‘kidnapped’, ‘in hiding’ or incarcerated.

The latter turned out to be true and Katie later revealed that her husband had been located in Al Awir prison in Dubai. He had asserted he had been arrested on charges of espionage. It was later reported that it was a private civil matter, reports the Mirror.

The plot thickened as Katie jetted off to Dubai for a face-off with her husband. Rumours then circulated about a substantial sum Lee would need to pay to secure his release from jail, but Katie later returned to the UK without her wedding ring – and alone.

However, she baffled fans again this morning by posting a photo of her ring on her finger and captioning it that she loved Lee. Now, Katie has opened up in a fresh interview with The Sun from Dubai.

Katie was adamant that she wouldn’t be footing the bill to free him from jail. “The only way Lee will get out of prison is he has to sort himself it out himself. If not, he’ll be in prison. I’m not here [in Dubai] to pay anything for anyone. There’s nothing I can do. I’ve got my own life, even though he’s part of my life,” she declared.

Discussing Lee’s travel ban, she stated: “He genuinely was trying to get to Muscat. I told him, ‘No one would care if you got a flight ban, it’s not a big deal. You keep video-ing saying you’re coming and you don’t turn up.'”

For the first time, Katie also expressed her need for answers from Lee. “I need answers, and if I don’t like the answers, I’ll be gone. I’m 48. I don’t need to waste my time. We get along really well and he’s so intelligent … As much as I want to listen to the women [his exes] and I’m really open minded about it, I know what a good woman I am.”

Katie insisted she is “protected” and “taking notes” – cautioning fans not to view her as a “mug”. She elaborated: “There is no way he would mess with me, and in a way I feel protected because I have the nation looking out for me.

“I’m not a mug and when I finally see Lee, I am going to question him. And if the answers I get are not right, that will be it: I’ll be done. That’s it. And I’ll just get on with my life… and not find a man on Instagram and message him.”

Over the months, since their initial encounter on social media earlier this year, fans have observed as Katie met, became engaged to and married Lee all within a few weeks. From there, she jetted off to Dubai multiple times but he has not made it to the UK.

Lee has refuted allegations that he is under a travel ban and cannot depart from the UAE, but Katie has seemingly suggested he does have some sort of travel restriction. Katie’s family have supported her throughout, but her sister Sophie has expressed her views on the marriage.

The Mirror revealed the news that Lee had previously been in prison and we also verified that many of his claims including his supposed connections with the royals and the Labour Party were false.

Whatever transpires next is in Katie’s hands, as she navigates the upcoming days and weeks with or without Lee.
