Healthcare executive, Amish Purohit, highlights resilient leadership at Oxford Global Summit

As healthcare systems worldwide confront rising costs, technological disruption and increasing demand for patient-centred care, industry leaders are placing renewed emphasis on resilient leadership as a critical factor in driving sustainable transformation.

That theme took centre stage at the London Organisation of Skills Development (LOSD) Global Event held on May 2, 2026, at the Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, where healthcare executive and physician leader Dr Amish Purohit emerged as one of the notable voices addressing the future of leadership, innovation and organisational growth.

The event, which combined the Skills Live Show 2026, the LOSD Excellence Awards and a series of international book launches, attracted more than 250 participants, including 51 speakers representing over 45 countries. The gathering brought together policymakers, entrepreneurs, academics, healthcare professionals and business leaders to discuss emerging global challenges and opportunities.

As a VIP Skills Live Speaker, Dr Purohit delivered a keynote presentation titled “Unbreakable: The Inner Game of Entrepreneurship,” examining the mindset, discipline and resilience required to navigate complex and rapidly evolving industries.

Drawing on his experience as a physician executive and former United States Air Force officer, he argued that long-term organisational success is rooted not only in technical expertise and innovation but also in the psychological strength of leaders responsible for guiding institutions through uncertainty.

His presentation resonated strongly with an audience comprising entrepreneurs, innovators and executives seeking practical insights into leadership in increasingly competitive and volatile markets.

Dr Purohit’s perspective reflects decades of experience across healthcare leadership, clinical practice and strategic management. He currently serves as Co-Founder, President and Chief Health Officer of Arkos Health, where he oversees operations serving more than 600,000 members.

Under his leadership, initiatives including Care Anywhere and Arkos 360 have contributed to efforts aimed at improving healthcare delivery through technology-enabled and patient-centred care models. The programmes have been recognised for helping bridge traditional healthcare services with innovative approaches designed to improve accessibility, outcomes and operational efficiency.

Industry observers note that healthcare systems globally are increasingly shifting toward value-based care models, where patient outcomes, preventive care and technological integration play a larger role in determining organisational success. Dr Purohit’s work has positioned him among executives helping to shape this transition.

His contributions were recognised during the LOSD Excellence Awards 2026, where he received the Excellence Award in the Health Category for Healthcare Transformation Leadership.

The award acknowledged his role in advancing healthcare delivery through technology-driven solutions and value-based care strategies, as well as his broader contributions to healthcare management and organisational leadership.

His professional achievements include leading successful organisational turnarounds and driving substantial revenue growth during his tenure as President and Chief Executive Officer of US Health Systems. Previous leadership roles at Vizi Health Solutions and Gila River Health Care further strengthened his reputation as a transformative healthcare executive.

The Oxford recognition adds to a growing list of professional honours, including recognition as a Phoenix Titan 100 recipient and multiple professional fellowships, including FAAFP and FACHE.

Beyond the conference platform, Dr Purohit participated in high-level networking engagements, the VIP inaugural parade and LOSD Publishing House book launches. He joined the celebration of A Book of Happiness and was recognised among the 26 Game Changers of the Year 2026, a distinction featured in the event’s commemorative coffee-table publication.

The event itself reflected the growing international reach of LOSD under the leadership of Prof. Dr Parin Somani, an educator, author and Chief Executive Officer of the organisation.

The gathering attracted several civic leaders from across the United Kingdom, including Cllr Louise Upton, The Worshipful Mayor of Oxford; Cllr Dr Sunny Lambe, The Worshipful Mayor of Southwark; Cllr Anjana Patel, The Worshipful Mayor of Harrow; Cllr Tushar Kumar, The Worshipful Mayor of Elstree & Borehamwood; and Cllr Smita Rajesh, The Worshipful Deputy Mayor of Chelmsford City.

Dr Purohit’s engagement extended beyond the conference hall. He was invited to participate in an interview with London TV, where discussions focused on the future of integrated healthcare systems and emerging trends in healthcare innovation.

He was also invited to contribute to SkillCast, LOSD’s official podcast platform, and to feature in a forthcoming edition of London Elite Magazine, further expanding the reach of his message on leadership, resilience and healthcare transformation.

As healthcare organisations worldwide continue adapting to demographic changes, technological advancement and increasing patient expectations, experts say leadership qualities such as resilience, adaptability and strategic vision will become increasingly important.

For many attendees at the Oxford summit, Dr Purohit’s message underscored a broader lesson extending beyond healthcare: that enduring organisational success depends not only on innovation and expertise but also on the ability of leaders to remain focused, adaptable and resilient in the face of constant change.
